It’s obvious. Fly fishing is popular. Being exterior has actually gone back to the leading edge for many individuals. Every outside pursuit is seeing off-the-charts boosts. On one hand there is integrated in disputes all set anytime as relatively a lot of individuals are utilizing our limited resources. We all have an option in how we approach our days and what we desire to focus on, where and when we fly fish. While the varieties of anglers is definitely growing, there are still many chances to delight in, even if it just boils down to concentrating on and existing in the minute in front of us totally prior to looking for wide ranges of minutes in a day.

@trippinontroutfly fishes for lake run rainbows!
That opening shot is beyond amazing! Instantly got me hooked😍 Great work guys🤙🏼
Hiking up to a mountain lake or stream and fishing there is the ultimate fishing experience for me. This is the kind of video i‘m searching for. Thank you!Greetings from 🇨🇭
Thanks for mindset adjustment.
Hi Dave and Amelia. Besides bring to memory my freshman class in Botany (thank you Dave) the walk-up was spectacular. Thank you both for a truly wonderful, entertaining, and artful piece of work.
That was fun. Love your perspective. 🙌🏼
You left out that some of us that might use a helicopters may not be able to make that hick.
Awsome I'm headed there next weekend for the 3rd time in my life love the place. I think I seen you guys west of rocky last weekend never realized it was you until I seen your van just now?
Love the content! Your ability to shoot video and fish well amazes me.What would you suggest to new anglers trying to find fishing spots? We’re having a hard time finding places to fish within 1-2hr drive of Calgary, mainly getting the “I’m not giving up my spot” quote.
An absolutely stunning accomplishment. WOW! Amazing hiking too, but netting that fish… epic.
Piękna przyroda Sam Raj na Ziemi 💪😎👍
Dave @ Amelie do you use the welded loop that comes on you're new fly lines or do you use something different thanx for the great and informative films all the best and thankyou
Wow one of the most enjoyable adventure you guys took us!That hiking up the mountain was fabulous. I even started to look for my breath too 😀Crazy amount of fishermen on that lake. One would think if it needs such a hike to get there, it would be too much for most? Looked just like opening day on the Yellowstone river with fishermen next to each other at Buffalo Ford. That stream looked amazing too. Being a weekend day with gorgeous weather, it's probably unrealistic to assume you'd have the stream all for yourself.Your filming also is reaching BBC Natural World level 😁Thanks again for the adventure this day. Greetings from The Netherlands
Hey Amelia and Dave! Love the videos, I think Ive watched every one! Die hard Orvis guy over here and I'm just curious – Do you all ever fish the PRO Textured trout line? Love the videos!
I do not know about the golden trout… but what you did was awesome¡In Spain we are used to fish behind people all the time… can be umplesant… and ceirtainly makes life more difficult.
Magnificent scenery just gorgeous, well worth the hike, thank you for taking us along.
Wowww. First of all, that scenery was amazing. 2nd, that fish in the bush at 23:00 was insane! I would've totally gotten snagged on the setup and rage quit haha. Haven't gotten to that cutty yet near the end of the video but loving the footage already!
I've always wondered if trout eat those water striders. Have y'all ever seen trout actually focus/target them seriously? That fish trying one was crazy. Never knew they jumped like that!
And what in the world did it eat at 27:35? Was that a mayfly cripple/shuck?
I’m from nz and totally know what you mean
You guys are so humble! I would have probably dropped an F-bomb then went home…I was so stoked to see you guys were going to an alpine lake then overcrowding happened which is crap… I had the same damn thing happen to me today… I go up a jeep trail which most vehicles couldn't make to the trailhead…once to the trailhead its a 4.5 mile hike and there had to be 30-40 vehicles many weren't fishing but many of them were…may I ask where the traffic is coming??? Is it Canadians from within your province or people from other countries/provinces etc… here in Montana us locals have literally been pushed out of our home water and our resource is being punished to the max… fly fishing has become the next trend and the trout waters we love were never designed to handle the pressure we have… I really love what the BC govt did with the elk river system trips by instituting the classified waters system… the system has made the overall fishery and fishing experience amazing and it really helps out the locals who shouldn't be pushed to the side because someone paid thousands for a vacation. Thanks for the content cheers!
Love the stories, wish more anglers (including myself) had a similar attitude to you two!
fanastic video guys you captured what is so great about fishing
Great video loved those shots of the rising fish
Hey guys! Love it! Get ya potty mouth to Wellington! Got done resident browns that will get you frothing! Johnny.
Magnifico Filmato, grazie! dove è stato girato questo filmato?
That bow 'n arrow fish is what its all about. Unbelievable indeed! Hope it made your (long) day as much as it made mine just watching.
AJLosing a big is gut-wrenching – and can be haunting. Any advice for getting over the lost fish of a lifetime? I have been keeping a log of lost fish to help see my weak spots. Dave's words on Tom R's podcast have been prophetic: “Most people don't want to hear it (why they lose fish), but more often than not, it's LINE CONTROL! No truer words in FF have ever been spoken and a topic that gets zero love compared to casting.
Great photography. I really like your attitude toward fishing. Seems like you concentrate On creating the moment and then really appreciate it. We lived in Calgary for 2 1/2 years this video really makes me miss it the hiking is wonderful.
Thanks for sharing your adventures! You inspire me!
Talk about earning that fish in the trees.. Great stalking and spotting..
Exquisite…
I really want to hear the uncensored version!!
Hey at least there’s not an equal helping of float tubers clogging up miles of gold medal fishing – count your blessings…
one of your best videos really enjoyed it
Hello Dave y Amelia! What line used Yellow?? Model ? 🙌🙌🙌🙌fans ARGENTINA 🇦🇷👏👏👏
I think we can all relate to the bleeped out part after Amelia loses that fish!
I’ve always found if you hit a river with people ahead it’s like golfing lol. Just wait on the t box. They don’t get all the fish in each hole and sometimes they don’t toss the right stuff. Just have to be patient. I’ve decided to just wait a few times and was rewarded with some nice fish.
Your film work of the feeding cutthroats was for me the highlight of this gorgeous piece. Magic indeed. One learns so much from the detail of their movements. Hooking the fish seems an interruption of the marvelous graceful movements of a creature doing what it has to do. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the thrill of capture as much as the next. Your body of work adds an additional level of enjoyment that is likely just as challenging to pull of as the landing of the prize.
Gorgeous video and scenery. Will you try the lake later in the season in hopes of finding it less crowded?
This is just the best. This is what fly fishing is all about — uncertainty, randomness, adapting, having an adventure, giving it a go, learning, embracing the hunt, having a relationship with the nature and fish, and sharing time with people you enjoy. No being overly principled with methods, no lecturing younger people at the parking lot, and (IMO) not fishing shoulder to shoulder with people lol… awesome stuff, thanks for all that both of you do here.
That view at 4:36!!!
Wow, what a stunning piece of water and the hike was sure worth the effort. I love watching footage of all the lead up such as this, to see all them people where it was busy then to go down to a lovely small stream. I had a bit of a laugh hearing Amelia crawling under that tree saying 'gotta be quiet' move like a 'Wabbit' (Rabbit) haha loved it. Stalking trout like that always gets the blood going with nervous excitement as it's a little battle within a battle and you want to come out on top with your plans. Gutted for Amelia during that moment, having the net not ready and then of course it doesn't take much for 5x tippet to bust off on good fish. Great watch this as always though .
