How to prevent the trouble and conserve cash
Dash cams are always handy especially during times like that
The reason this is happening is because of the people we keep letting in this countryπ₯΄!!!!!! Trump 2024 πΊπΈπ¦ πΊπΈπ
Failure to secure load.. should be widely enforced with stiff penalty. Weβve all seen the mattress fly off the minivan and then cause a fuel tanker truck to run off the road and burst into flames killing the truck driver A mattress coming off your van, or ladder falling off your rack should be a $1500 fine minimum. Itβs not a joke. Take load securement serious
Had this happen to me, a hub cap came off a car, rolled across a four lane highway, thru a ditch and hit my car while i was driving about 80.
Ah yes. eight lanes of traffic separated by a single thin concrete wall and someone throws a baseball or golf ball into the oncoming lanes.
As usual the innocent man or women are on there on .which you are own your on self defense for pretty much everything any way .
So to be safe all we have to do is drive as indicated in the drivers manual anyway and dont be complacent when transporting goods you dont want flying out of your possession. ππ»ππ»
So 2/3 of these incidents happens because of someone's negligence? How surprising..
Get a camera
It's stupid trump supporters….they drive with their eyes closedThe same way they pick their politicians
What is this background music from their playing I vaguely remember it from the 90s or early 2000s.
What do you mean we have to have comprehensive insurance? Nobody is responsible anymore!!
looks like DOT is slacking four wheelers need to learn how to strap down a load. I donβt stay behind idiots.
A bathtub flew out of the back of a truck, flew straight over my car, & hit the little red car behind me. The pickup truck didnβt even slow down, but I got the tag # & turned it in.
Houston is a dirty city. Not surprised.
Texas is itself a debris on America's path.
Pple should receive attempted murder for that
Road Debris? REALLY?!?!!? They trying to make people scared to go outside now…… I wonder why π€
How will autonomous cars avoid this?
Increase your following distance. π£οΈπβ½π¦
Media: Road debris dangers!!!πππ§ππDriver: pitch fork hit my front bumper.π₯ΊReporter: That doesn't make headlines and ratings. Quick, let's smash it through your windshield!!!π€Driver:π
Avoid a company called sti they never tarp their loads here by Crosby. So much for being professional drivers right
So the best way to avoid it is to avoid it? Thanks for that! π€·
I was told by my insurance it counted as collision because my car collided with the foreign object, and itd be counted as at fault since i hit it.
Sounds like final destination the movie π³lol
Lmaoo itβs the courage the cowardly dog Katz motel theme playing in the back ground for me
Finally something other than shooting road rage
Yup, itβs a big problem. A table flew at us and I could not switch lanes Bc cars were next to me. I just yelled, hang on a brace for it, itβs going to hit us. And of course it didβ¦.the driver that didnβt secure it properly just kept on going.
Maybe people need to get trailers that are enclosed all the way around
I hit a WHOLE SHEET of ply wood that came off the back of a pick up truck
Most of this wouldn't happen if idiots would learn how to tie their loads down. And if the police would step up enforcement instead of sitting in gas station parking lots for hours because they're “on break”.
We also have a problem of people running red lights. Yesterday me and my brother nearly got hit when a car decided to run a light and turned left as our light was green inches away from hitting us. Then last night on the way home from work another car ran a light almost hitting the cars next to us, then not too far down the road at a different intersection, yet another car ran a light and this all occurred in the same area!
I've allwayz benn weary about this
Stupid is stupid doesβ¦.. Thatβs what happens when itβs a Democratic Ruined CITY ππ€π€
Not just Houston area, itβs a whole Texas problem.
Thatβs So Scary What No Laws About People Not Driving Around With Certain Products On The Road On Top Of There Cars
One of my nightmares. I was behind a dumptruck yesterday and there were rocks falling out of it smashing onto the pavement and bouncing off behind it, luckily I had enough safe space and time to change lanes.
Death Race 2021!
Does anyone else not notice that they used Katz theme song from courage the cowardly dog?!
another reason I am eternally grateful to have left Houston 20 years ago. it's just a bigger S —-T hole now.
Don't allow them on the freeway
Attorney looks almost identical to and sounds exactly like Matt Damon!
My husband is a truck driver so anything we haul in are pickup is tied down with a ratchet strap
Just like flatbeds have to strap their cargo down then so should other vehicles have to strap their cargo down as well or they should be ticketed for $500 or more..
I not only have a dash camera but I never drive behind a semi or even alongside it due to thrown rocks or exploding tires. I've had a solid aluminum wheel fall off a truck going the other direction fly over my car, barely missing me. I try to take no chances. I keep my proper distance behind any car as well, no matter how congested the road gets.
Crazy ain't the word fir it
Oh No
drug trafficker's , road rage shootings , and now pitch forks…what next ?
HPD needs to pull over tie down loads and check them. Be proactive! Never never ride behind a load of any kind!
final destination
My only trip to Houston, ever, was on the freeway when I noticed the other drives part like the red sea right in front of me. There was a wooden crate in the middle of the freeway which I almost avoided but still did damage to the bumper. These people were driving at 70MPH and were able to dodge that crate like it was nothing.
Hey mayor you going to continue to dance and freestyle or start holding companies/houstonians accountable, ( I.E. be a mayor)
Highway Patrol needs to start stopping and ticketing people who don't property secure items they're hauling. They see someone hauling something, pull them over and determine if it's secured properly. If not, ticket them with a high fine and make them get off the highway.
Get a Dash Cam. Let your videos do the talking.2:06 To answer your question, Californians. Thatβs why this keeps happening.
Neanderthal dreamers dropping their work tools in the freeway
It ain't no joke
I had a box spring mattress bounce pass me on 45 and Monroe the driver kept going
Couple of years ago a piece of metal plate came flying from back of a vehicle and went through the windshield of a car that was driven by a woman and decapitated her
looks like Stewart kept the pitch fork and use it for wall art in the corner of the room.
None of the hazards were more exciting than the commentator of the TV station.
It should be illegal to secure any load even with a rope because not everyone knows how to tie a proper knot. If you don't have your load secured properly with ratchet straps and a cop spots it you should be pulled over and given a $1500 ticket AND be made to leave your car on the side of the road until such time as you get to the nearest hardware store and return with ratchet straps. Keep in mind that ratchet straps cannot be affixed to just any vehicle either… If you haven't got something with a tray then you better go and hire a trailer with a cage. I will bet that unsecured load accidents like these drop to almost zero.
Houston is a dump
I was driving behind a make shift trailer that had plywood propped up with twine to hold a lot of chairs and various patio items. Suddenly the rough edge of the plywood cut the twine and the contents spilled out on the freeway. A cynder block broke hitting the concrete and a large piece of it was headed right for my windshield in my face. Fortunately with a second to react I slowed down immediately and it bounced off my Toyota supra hood and over the roof. It was 18″ in front of my face the dent…surely would have killed me if it was a little higher. The freeway was filled with bouncing chairs and other items.
Driving in Houston = final destination lol
Maybe this should be part of drivers education class?!
Those people donβt secure their stuff causing safety problems/ accidents should be charged!!!
Freeways done turned into battle arenas.
Road Hazards, as they are called, exist everywhere…I ride a scooter and each time I see something in the road I pull off to the side and safely retrieve the object…I have a box full of lug nuts, pad locks, bolts of all sizes, and anything else which may cause damage when kicked up in the air by the tires of vehicles rolling down the street…
The Waze App lets you know if there is road debris if other people report it and also if there are cops on the road.
when i haul anything i believe in ratchet straps
I'm in SC but I almost had a whole wheelbarrow hit me. The landscaping truck in front of me hit a pot hole which caused the wheelbarrow jump and fell from their trailer
Last time I saw a huge washer in the middle of the freeway on 59 north by Tidwell π©π©π©
Unlicensed pitchforking
Last year on i80 on my way back to michigan from cali about 5 miles from “the worlds largest truck stop” a utility vehicle lost a stop sign at 80 right infeont of me. Happened so fast but slow motion. Missed the truck by about a foot on the driver side. Roommate was sleeping in the passenger seat and still dont believe it to this day
Texas π€£
The background music sounds like the music they used to play on courage the cowardly dog
Ive seen so many things falling off vehicles On 1-45 smh
This is why I'm always telling people I hate being around large trucks
I've seen a wheel barrel on the road on 225 more than once
I see a lot of these older vehicles that is not in tip top condition on the road with tools, big wooden logs, old buckets with cement in it not even secured that is very deadly that should be some kind of law about these unsecured vehicles. .
Piece of crap insurance companies.
Saw a bbq pit the other day
Why aren't the police and other law enforcement agencies looking for these dangerous situations? Start writing tickets and we might see some improvement!
Had that happen once. Drywall flew off a truck. Hit my window, split went under the car and busted my oil pan. Thankfully an off duty cop chased the truck down and brought them back to the scene.
Blame the truck driving companies that put pressure on the truck drivers to get going asap, I just quit my job because they wanted me to take an unsafe load trough these rocky houston streets .
I hit a piece of wood on I-10 near downtown, IN THE LEFT LANE- $260 for a new rim π
Ridiculous
when did trump become a reporter
sounds like texas is full of fukin idiots, great job
